Future of Halo

Next games in the stunning Halo series is Halo Wars and Halo: OSDT Halo Wars is an Real Time Stratgey (RTS) and is like Age of Empires and Halo ODST is another FPS heres the lowdown on both the games.

Halo Wars

Halo Wars is the first Halo game not to have Bungie working on it instead its has a tiny microsoft studio called ensemble. Did you know that Halo 1 was originally supposed to be RTS?

Halo ODST

Halo 3: ODST's tale focuses on the legendary ODSTs or "Orbital Drop Shock Troopers" as they drop into the ruined city of New Mombasa, looking for clues behind the Covenant's catastrophic attack on the city.

The new campaign chapter predates the events that unfold in "Halo 3" and gives players a new perspective through the eyes of a new hero in the "Halo" universe. New multiplayer maps ensure that the award-winning Xbox LIVE experience of "Halo 3" continues to thrive.

Here are some cancelled Halo games
Halo DS

Now this one is instersting.

Halo on the Nintendo DS? It could have been, if the deals had worked out. A major publisher began negociations with license holder Microsoft for the game to happen, and contracted a known game developer to produced a spec demo of a version of Halo for the Nintendo DS. The demo was made, the game was (according to those who played it) appropriately accurate to the Halo experience on Nintendo's little handheld, and the talks were active in making the game happen ... and then, it was no more. Due to issues regarding the license, Halo DS was never fully produced.

A similar situation with the Halo franchise had occurred years earlier with the Game Boy Advance platform, but whether a demo or game code for GBA was ever produced is not known.

Halo MMO Project

MMO's are like world of warcarft and club penguin.
A planned persistent online MMO project in the works at one time at Ensemble Studios based on the Halo franchise. This game was canceled as part of the closure of Ensemble.
